That sounds good, I'm down with it. So, do you figure Dragon Express is still on that street, knowing that that street isn't part of the hood?

Oh, holy shit guys! I forgot you all totally responded to this step already! Hah! I was expecting to have to wait, like, two days, or something crazy. So, hey, its time for step three!
We go around AGAIN motherfuckers, and you all NAME a place (we don't draw it!) That IS NOT IN THE HOOD! Its some place important like a job or the hospital or the police station, etc. Some place that is valuable, but means leaving the confines of the Hood to get to it. And AGAIN, tie it to your character! Spell out your character's connection to it (your uncle works there, your sister is blowing one of the cops, you boost drugs from the nurses station after hours, etc).

Alright, so I will say that we don't actually have a police station here in the 'hood. The station is several blocks out and pretty overworked, so they're spread pretty thin on patrols. I've got a friend who works there, a real cool dude named Derek Jones who I've known since we moved here a few years ago. He's helped me out of a few minor offenses, like loitering and other fuckin' stupid shit, but he doesn't think I've done anything too bad. We met when he was in the club one night. I was supposed to keep him from noticing any of the girls earning a little extra on the side, and we actually got along really well and have met up about once a week to hang at his place.

Also, just to clarify, when I say linked to you, I did make it sound like I meant with an npc or something. It'd be really cool if you did do that, but that's not the only option. Other options are things like, a lock up where you store dodgy gear out of sight, or a pay phone where you collect all your bad bad jobs from, or the like. It doesn't have to be an NPC (although I love when it is an NPC), as long as its something connected straight to your character.

My Chinese place is outside of the hood. They really like me and care about me because they were being held up when I was in the restroom and I kicked out the door and murdernated the two guys trying to clear em out. I would like it to be in the same place if possible? If it has to be further out that's cool.

I'll be honest; I have no idea what to put here for now. Everything I think of feels pretty trite and not all that endemic to good storytelling.

There's a bank outside the 'hood. Well okay there are thousands of banks outside the 'hood. But this one is special. It's the Bank of Venice, a local subsidiary for a much larger regional bank (which is itself a subsidiary of a much larger state bank, etc etc etc). The Bank is set up as a sort of way to keep local money local, though because of the infrastructure is something of a corporatized credit union (and hence has about the same effect as a slaughterhouse assuring vegans that their veal is free-range). What is important about this bank (beside the fact that that's where the money is) is one Leonard Cromwell, assistant manager to this particular branch of the Bank of Venice. Lenny has a bit of a recreational habit, but can't be caught dead in some place like San Carlos. So, after a bit of an incident where I tried to make a deposit of some (unknowingly, I swear) traced fifties, we came to an understanding. And now I go between for him.

Cool, cool, cool - police station, Chinese place, bank. Sounds good!
Next and final step!
We all go around and add the house/apartment/whatever for one or two npcs throughout the neighborhood. Keep descriptions short and to the point!
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE OF THESE IN THE HOOD: •a family member (loved or hated) •a friend (socially or business) •a foe (because you hate then or they hate you) •an ex (could be one of the above)

I have added two locations. The first is on San Carlos Boulevard: San Carlos Package, a liquor store owned by some shady guy who goes by Mouse. The second location is Carlos's house, near Reaper's place. Carlos is a, well, I guess, a business partner of mine. Hmm. No, that's not right. More like an associate. A client really. Carlos is a client of mine.

Aright, so I have a family NPC in my brother, LJ, who lives with me. I think I can count Reaper as my foe, since I have a personal issue with her giving me a concussion and shit. So I personally wanna get even in some way.
The only friend I listed is outside the 'hood, so I think I have one other in it. His name is Hank, he's a pretty chill dude who bounces with me and comes over sometimes after crazy nights. Tall, not as muscled as me but that's all I do in my spare time, weight lift. He likes to come over and shoot the shit, drink a few bears and relax. Nice guy. He lives about a block from Oasis on San Carl.
And an ex...hmmm...Oh! There was this girl I sort of dated for a while, a pretty redhead name Jenny. She's a bartender at Oasis, and we hit it off, but I wasn't what she wanted in a relationship so she dumped me. I think I still like her, at least a little, but I'm pretty sure she's over me. She lives a couple blocks from me near the intersection of Verde and San Carl.

Red and I are husband and wife, but it is really only a marriage of convenience, to keep me in the country. We love each other as bros, not much else. Vanilla's a friend, she kinda has to be since we live together. I don't do her line of work after the first few weeks but we are still buddy buddy and I watch her and Red's backs. I don't generally hold grudges against people in my line of work, job's a job aye? But the pimp I failed to kill with that fuckin bodyguard of his.... I don't like them one bit.
As for an ex... I don't think she'd be invested in anyone, although if anyone has any suggestions I'm happy to hear them
