Boom, motherfuckers. Wizards all up in this shit. JT, wizards everywhere. Mages outta every orifice.
which is to say...
I'll be rocking a Wizard of some sort. I'm thinking he will not be part of an Order yet, so I'll use the vanilla playbook as is. I need to think about Role/Issue/etc from the Urban Shadows character creation. I know I want to play up important mundane social stuff as grist for the drama mill, because I think World of Darkness also suffers from wandering murderhobos just like D&D. So, I want to root my character into the setting so I actually know what the fuck to do while we play.

MOTHER FUCK I had this ALL TYPED UP and then I lost it
oh well so it goes
Name: Ursula (stage), Kate Blumstein (real) Look: Female, small body, thin hands, all-seeing eyes Role: Outcast. Kate is the one Oracle in a Wizard club, and I could see her not being fully trusted. They don't know for sure what her endgame is, what she's ultimately after. Who am I? Kate was born into a very happy family, until the visions started and the nightmares came. Blah blah blah, tried to hide it, ran away, lived on the streets for a while getting by on her wits and her psychic powers, until she came to Las Vegas and fell in with this cabal. She's only been in the city for a year or two, I imagine, though this is flexible if we come up with a cooler idea during character creation. She has thick, curly black hair and ~hazel~ eyes, and is only about 5'2". She's too short and skinny to be ideal for sawing-in-half but hey, stick her in heels and a glittery bra and hope the audience is dazzled anyway. You work with what you have, right?
So being the only one who can see the future kind of sucks, but she's been dealing with it since age thirteen. Kate is aggressively zen about all of this: there are some things you can change, and some things you can't, and you can never be completely sure which is which until it's in the past. Very Zen. Such prophecy. Wow. Anyway, she's a pretty chipper person, always looking for the bright side and acknowledging that it could have been worse, or she's been in worse places than this, and everything will be okay.
As for the nightmares, they're destructive, anything from people burning to death in a house or the apocalypse. Sometimes the San Andreas Fault throws LA into the ocean, other times it's a ten-car pile-up, or the sun goes out and the world freezes. The ten-car pile-ups are the good nights. She's rarely personally involved in these horrible scenarios, but there's a lingering sense that they were things she could have prevented and didn't. There are lots of screams.
What I need most, right now, is for the rest of the cabal to trust me. Horrible things are coming, and how am I supposed to guide them through it if they don't take advantage of my knowledge?
Wish: I hope my organization's members come together as a cohesive unit, wowing audiences with magic by moonlight and being a badass fighting force by later moonlight.
Issue: I don't always tell everyone everything. Despite having the best of intentions, I'm manipulative. I want everyone to trust me, but don't acknowledge that trust is a two-way street. I'd trust other people with my life, but I don't always trust them to take the correct course of action. I'm a would-be puppet-master and a hypocrite.
Locations: I'm often found in the theater our group performs in, of course, but I can also be found in movie theaters. Movies are practically a vice for me; they're escapism. I get stoned and go to the theater sometimes if I really, really need a break. I love movies.
STATS:
Blood 0, Heart -1, Mind 2, Spirit 2
Mortality 0, Night -1, Power 2, Wild 1 Current faction: Power
DEBTS:
You have seen a great tragedy heading for someone and warned them of its coming. Take 2 Debts on them. Someone has ignored your warnings and it caused both of you great pain. Take 1 Debt against them. Someone has helped you uncover the truth of one of your visions, saving lives or preventing great pain. They take 3 Debts against you.
MOVES:
Foretellings: At session start roll +Spirit. On a 10+ hold 2. On a 7-9 hold 1. You can spend your hold 1-for-1 to declare that you've seen this moment and what is to come next in your visions. You, and any who hear your foretelling, take +1 on all rolls to fulfilling or changing your vision.
Force of Will: You can threaten an NPC without speaking a word. Roll +Spirit instead of +Blood.
Anything I'm missing here?

Name: (Stage) Alexa (Real) Shay Collins Look: Female, curvy body, intense eyes, playful hands Role: Denizen. Shay doesn't have any desire to lead, she just does what they tell her to do, and keeps her nose clean. She needs them and this is the best way to keep them liking her. Who Am I?: Shay was born and raised in Vegas, and has loved magic tricks since she picked up a deck of cards. She used the cheap magician's tricks to get by when she needed money, and by the end of high school, she spent more time on the strip conning tourists than at home. Her mother left when she was almost too young to remember, and her father has been a useless, violent drunk since then.
Once she became a true Wizard, she started pooling her resources to track down her mother, certain there was some link on the maternal line to her magic. There might be a little bit of obsession and childish belief that if she could just find her mother, everything would be alright again, but she'd never admit that. From what little she could piece together from old pictures and drunken ramblings from her father, her mother Mary had been a member of the Council once upon a time. She's been sweet-talking and rubbing elbows with any member of the Council she can, playing the sweet and innocent card to get information. So far, they've been pretty tight-lipped for whatever reason.
Shay is 24, curvy, about 5'7", and has long, straight black hair and green eyes. Although her stage persona is very outgoing and chirpy, her real personality is rather reserved and introverted. She uses "Alexa" to get information and be a performer, because she's certain that no one could ever talk to Shay like they do with Alexa. Sometimes, she's a little worried that one day she won't want to be Shay anymore, since Alexa is so much better.
Wish/Fear: Her deepest wish is to find her mother and have a relationship with her, the relationship that was denied her because Mary ran away and left her alone. Her fear is that if she does reunite with Mary, that Mary will confirm her subconscious belief that Shay isn't deserving of a mother or a real family and that's why Mary left.
Issue: Her issue is that she's more than a little obsessed with her "quest," and there's very little she wouldn't do to find out any information. Besides that, she is full of crazy amounts of self-doubt/hatred, and doesn't always know when she should stop being Alexa.
Locations: She can be found in the theatre, in her apartment nearby, or in a bookstore. She devours books of all kinds, magical and non-magical, and has more than she knows what to do with at home.
